Meet The Team

Meet DR. ANDREA

Dr. Andrea Duvnjak Lehman is a licensed Naturopathic Physician with a focus in Functional Medicine.

Health and wellness has always been a passion for Dr. Andrea, but her eyes truly opened to the body's incredible ability to heal itself while working with Dr. Terry Wahls and assisting with her Multiple Sclerosis Research and Clinical Trials at The University of Iowa. Seeing first-hand the power of nutrition and individualized health care to reverse illness and restore the body to health made Dr. Andrea realize that this is exactly what she wanted to spend her career helping patients achieve.

Dr. Andrea also holds a doctorate in chiropractic medicine.

Her medical education included training in conventional medicine, advanced laboratory testing and diagnosis, physical medicine, pharmaceuticals and minor surgery, as well as traditional healing principles and  modalities such as botanical medicines, medical-grade supplementation, acupuncture and most importantly addressing the determinants of health (diet, lifestyle, environmental factors, etc.). This allows us to discover each individual's unique needs and imbalances to allow the body to heal from disease and achieve a true state of health and well-being. Training in Naturopathic Medicine provides a deep understanding of the human body as well as an understanding that our body is not just separate parts and organ systems, but one whole unit that is completely interconnected in everything that it does.

Dr. Andrea knows that the human body is incredibly intelligent, resilient and capable of healing at all levels of illness if given the proper conditions for health.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to treating any symptom or condition, which is why it is so important to treat the person, not the disease. We are all complex and unique individuals with completely different backgrounds, genetics, lifestyles, environmental and toxic exposures and risk factors that all contribute to our development of symptoms and disease in a unique way.

She specializes in functional medicine, advanced lab testing and blood work analysis, women’s health, digestive health, functional endocrinology, and nutrition, but also works with a wide variety of different health conditions.

Meet DR. ALEXANDRA

Dr. Alexandra Trevisan is a chiropractor and functional medicine physician.

With a passion for health and wellness, Dr. Alex believes that everyone is designed to reach their full potential. She believes that the very first step in living the life that we desire, is to feel empowered in our bodies. Without feeling strong and capable in our physical bodies, we are unable to pursue the passions and dreams that lie dormant within us. This is why Dr. Alex has dedicated her professional career to helping others heal from the inside out.

More About Dr. Alexandra...

Dr. Alex works with each of her patients to remind them that healing is possible, and provides a step by step protocol to make it happen. She understands that we each face unique obstacles when it comes to reaching our health goals, and her approach addresses this directly. This way, her patients know exactly what to do, even when she is not present. Dr. Alex is dedicated to helping all of her patients bring their health goals to life, and gives them the conviction to remember that this is possible.

Meet DR. ERIC

Dr. Eric Chandley is one of a few chiropractors in North Carolina that has a chiropractic license and also has a physician assistant license.

After practicing full time as a chiropractor from 1996 to 2004 he knew there was more he could do to help patients. He graduated from the ECU physician assistant program in May of 2005. Since that time he has been busy helping people with functional medicine and hormone balancing. He has also worked in several Emergency Departments in NC. For the past 12 years he has been working full time at Novant Orthopedics in Cornelius while seeing private patients at a variety of clinics.

More About Dr. Eric...

Dr. Eric has an autoimmune condition called ankylosing spondylitis, this started for him after eating chicken contaminated with a bacteria called Campylobacter jejuni. Although both he and his wife ate that chicken, he is the one that carries the gene for this ankylosing spondylitis. Through a variety of functional medicine interventions that included specific dietary protocols and nutritional supplements he is now able to enjoy Brazilian jiu-jitsu and wakesurfing without taking powerful immunosuppressant medication.

Most of his patients are typically seeking help with hormonal health or autoimmune disease.
